I woke up this morning feeling somewhat depressed and irritable. There is little going on here in Southern California now and elsewhere in terms of significant activity worldwide. There just has not been enough. Southern California has been far overdue and it cannot afford to be dead quiet for long periods of time. It is changing. It is not like it was 7 years ago when I first moved to this state. It feels different. At this point, while there may not be anything going on right now, it still feels like something big is coming within weeks or possibly sooner. I don't know how big, but it feels like it won't be long when a sizeable quake finally happens around here.
It also still feels like something significant may be coming in a neighboring region. So far, as of right now, I'm not completely numb. I am feeling a slight pressure in my left side. I'm not sure whether that could indicate more energy coming from the area North or South of here or more seismic activity on the verge of rising here in Southern CA today. It could also be from potential large activity elsewhere in the world. The other day when I went to work in Loma Linda and coming back here, I was quite sore upon stepping out of the car. I explained in a recent post about travelling around a seismically active region laden with faults.
On the way to my job in Loma Linda and back, we cross over the Waterman Canyon Fault, the San Andreas Fault and the San Jacinto Fault or at least right by it. I do a lot of walking at my job, so my feet were very sore by the end of the day. I feel sore in various places. I just now felt a more acute throbbing pain in my side. It was brief, but it was something I have not felt yet until just now.
